Help sought to ID shooter involved in Valley slaying

SYLMAR - Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the person responsible for the shooting death of 21-year-old Luis Morales.

The incident began Sunday, Nov. 30 at 12 a.m. as Morales was attending a birthday party in the 12900 block of Glenoaks Boulevard. Responding to a radio call of gunfire, police found Morales in the backyard, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he died. Detectives believe that there were nearly 100 people who were at the party when the gunfire broke out. All of the witnesses had left the location before police arrived.
