LAPPL Endorses Kamala Harris for Attorney General

Los Angeles, November 15, 2013 – The Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL) announced today that it has joined other public safety organizations in supporting the re-election of California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris.

As California’s chief law enforcement official, Kamala Harris has worked tirelessly to fight transnational gangs that smuggle drugs and traffic human beings into our state, and to protect homeowners from mortgage fraud and deception. She continues to support, advocate for, and collaborate with local law enforcement throughout California. She has worked to increase the adoption of technology and data-driven policing to assist law enforcement in the efficient investigation and prosecution of crime, and has traveled to every region of California to expand partnerships with local law enforcement.

“Attorney General Harris’ experience and long ties to the community enable her to best understand California’s unique law enforcement needs,” said Tyler Izen, president of the Los Angeles Police Protective League. “Because of her commitment to effective law enforcement and meaningful criminal justice reform, the members and supporters of the LAPPL strongly endorse her re-election as Attorney General of California.”
