LAPPL issues statement on the fatal shooting of Police Officer Charles Joseph Gliniewicz

Los Angeles, September 3, 2015 — In response to the fatal shooting in northern Illinois of Fox Lake Lieutenant Charles Joseph Gliniewicz, Craig Lally, President of the Los Angeles Police Protective League issued the following statement on behalf of the League:

“An attack on one police officer is an attack on all law enforcement. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our brother, Lieutenant Charles Joseph Gliniewicz, and offer our condolences to the Gliniewicz family and the Illinois Fox Lake PD.”

“The trend of violent, senseless attacks on law enforcement officers throughout the country is disturbing, and we ask everyone to stand up and support their local police. An attack on law enforcement officers is an attack on the communities they serve.”
