City Council Approves Contract

Today, the City Council voted 12-3 to approve our 4-year contract. We are appreciative of the overwhelming support from those on the council who desire to rebuild the LAPD.

We are also appreciative of Mayor Bass and her strong support for this contract. Her leadership was paramount to this deal getting done.

Not surprisingly, our contract was opposed by police abolitionists Eunisses Hernandez and Hugo Soto-Martinez. It was also opposed by Nithya Raman. They offered the same tired anti-police mumbo-jumbo that they are always spouting off about without any solutions to our rising crime and dwindling staffing.

Pay increases and other compensation will be retroactive to July 16 and will be reflected in an upcoming paycheck.
